What is the purpose of botulinum toxin?
Botulinum toxin, better known as Botox®, is an injectable product that reduces wrinkles and fine lines at rest without preventing muscle contraction : the result is therefore judged primarily on the appearance of wrinkles at rest.
This muscle relaxation created by a Botox® injection softens wrinkles and fine lines and smooths facial features. Its effect is not permanent and it is completely safe for the body .
The goal is to relax and rejuvenate your eyes. You will maintain a natural facial expression while reducing excess facial muscle tension that causes expression lines.

Are there any contraindications?
As a precaution, botulinum toxin injections are not performed on pregnant or breastfeeding women. There are contraindications to botulinum toxin injections that the doctor will carefully identify before any treatment. These include inflammation at the injection site, a personal or family history of progressive muscular diseases (eyelid muscle spasms, myopathies, dermatomyositis, fibromyalgia, etc.), and recent eye surgery (cornea). Certain drug interactions must also be considered.
